Building A Better Body It has been six months, and I have met my goal of losing 20 pounds. My body is coming into shape, and I am feeling so much better. I have more energy to chase my two young sons around. This Old School New Body system has worked. As a manly man, I want those sculptured muscles that define weight lifters. Maybe not the Arnold Schwarzenegger body builder hunky muscles, but I want it to look like I have been working out. I have decided to skip Phase 2, of the F4X plan. Phase 2 is tailored more for the ladies on a diet. Of course, Shape will work for guys; I just want to jump start my exercise routine and go directly to Build. Nutrition for Healthy Living It has been relatively easy to stay on the diet plan of the Old School New Body Plan. I have eggs for breakfast, meat for lunch and either chicken or steak for dinner. Throw in a few veggies and I haven't been in the least bit hungry. On the build phase, I can eat even more protein. I plan to increase my portion size and add a protein shake in between meals. More protein is needed to build more body muscle. Body BuildingI must say that I have enjoyed my 30-minute workouts. The exercises have targeted the right muscles, and I have seen incredible results. But I am ready to take it to another level.
The Build Phase is just what it implies. I will be increasing the weight of the barbells and doing more repetitions and adding set 4. Instead of 30 minutes, the workouts will now take 45 minutes. I do think I can find 45 minutes in my busy schedule. Let me leave you with an inspirational quote:
